The standard contact/company detail page has simple information like name, surname, email address, phone number, etc. If you need more information to keep, you can create your own custom field. In this blog post, we will try to explain the custom field feature on Sumasa.
How to create a custom field?
First, you need to decide which information you want to see on the contact/company detail page. After you can create your own custom field. Let’s walk through step by step with an example
Step 1: Let’s say, you want to save your customer’s birthdays. As a user, first, you have to have that privilege for the custom field. Then you need to follow these steps: settings => general => custom fields.
Step 2: In this step, you need to decide where do you want to see the custom field; contact detail or company detail. For our example, we will choose contact. After that, we will type a name for a new custom field: Birthday. Then, we can select type as a text. Also, we can write a description. The important thing is you can have 5 custom filed maximum and you can order them according to priority.
Step 3: Now you can see custom field segment on the contact detail and you can fill in the information. The best part is when you export your contact data you will see the custom field that you created. Also, when you import your contact data, if you have created that custom field , you can see that information on the contact/company detail page.
